At Redmond UMC, we believe that all people should thrive. In our mercy ministries, we provide for the immediate needs of our neighbors the best way we can.

PORCHLIGHT

For decades, RUMC has been partnering with Porchlight (formerly Congregations for the Homeless) to provide an overnight shelter for men who need a warm dinner and a safe and comfortable place to sleep. We host the shelter for several months before it moves on to another congregation.

EASTSIDE EMERGENCY WINTER SHELTER

Catholic Community Services is the main organization behind the Eastside Emergency Winter Shelter, a place for women, children, and entire families to find a warm meal and a safe and comfortable place to sleep. The EWS is hosted by several congregations throughout the winter months including Redmond UMC.

DREAMS & HOPES

The mission of Dreams & Hopes is to reduce poverty in Guatemala's Mayan communities through education. Dreams and Hopes was founded as a 501(c)(3) organization to create the opportunity for individuals and corporations outside of Guatemala to learn about and support the education of Mayan communities in Guatemala. The primary partner in this mission is Sueños y Esperanzas. Sueños y Esperanzas is a formal Guatemalan non-governmental organization (NGO).

Sueños y Esperanzas educates, equips, and empowers Mayan children and youth to have the best future possible in Guatemala.
