2026 Annual Campaign

Watch over these sacred truths by the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
-2 Timothy 1:14 (First Nations)

Dear Friends,

As we enter this season of reflection and renewal, we are invited to pause and consider what it truly means to live generously – not just in what we give, but in how we live. Our Stewardship Campaign theme this year is Fearless Generosity: Rooted in Faith. It calls us to explore generosity as a spiritual practice, one that deepens our connection to God and to one another. Because generosity is not merely an act – it is a way of growing. It is about aligning our individual and communal lives with God’s abundant grace and allowing that abundance to flow through us into the world.

With a campaign goal of $265,000 for 2026, we look ahead with faith and courage. Your pledge is a commitment to help us live into God’s calling – to love boldly, serve faithfully, and grow deeply together.

Paul’s words to Timothy remind us of this calling: “Watch over these sacred truths by the Holy Spirit who lives in us.” We are entrusted with faith, with this beloved community, and with the ministry God calls us to embody. Each act of generosity – each pledge, each offering, each gift of time or talent – is a seed planted in hope, one that blossoms into compassion, justice, and renewed faith.

In this spirit, we celebrate the joy of living generously. We invite you to prayerfully reflect on what it means to embrace Fearless Generosity at RUMC as you complete your 2026 Estimate of Giving. By sharing your estimate of giving, you empower our congregation to step into the coming year with clarity, hope, and the resources to live out God’s call.

As part of this journey, we have included a poem written by Jerry Smith, the chair of the Stewardship Team. We encourage you to place it somewhere you’ll see it often – on your fridge, your desk, in your car – as a daily reminder of what it means to live with fearless generosity.

With gratitude and hope,
Redmond UMC Stewardship & Giving Team

We build the 2026 budget based on every single Estimate of Giving that comes in!

An Estimate of Giving is a commitment to give a certain amount of money to RUMC in 2026. All are invited to fill out an Estimate of Giving card or online form by Sunday, November 2.

On November 2, we will bless and dedicate our pledges in worship as an act of gratitude and faith.

Our budget for ministry, staff, facilities, and mission is funded by the generosity of the people in this faith community. Estimates of Giving enable us to responsibly plan for 2026. We want to be great stewards of the gifts given so your card helps us do that!

Take time to pray and think about it – giving is a spiritual practice that needs a beginning point. We encourage giving a deliberately chosen percentage of gross income. We are challenged to set a tithe (the Biblical word for 10% of our income) as the giving goal in our lives. Start where you can and begin the journey. Some fully tithe or give more than a tithe; others take an incremental approach. Whether it is $1 or $100, every gift matters.

If you need to change your commitment at any time, just let us know. Contact Karene Busby, our Financial Secretary, or the Church Office: rumc@redmondumc.org

An Estimate of Giving is simply a commitment to give in 2026. We’re each invited to set up our gift starting in January 2026 through one of the following ways.
