Every Wednesday from 5-6pm, volunteers and guests gather in the RUMC Fellowship Hall for Open Kitchen: a welcoming and safe place where one can find nutrition, companionship, and the opportunity to serve.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Open Kitchen is currently serving to-go meals on the Breezeway on Wednesdays from 5-6pm.
RUMC is in partnership with Congregations for the Homeless by offering our space for short-term housing.

Do you long to answer the call to love and serve in new places? Do you believe that education can make a difference? RUMC is sending a group of volunteers to Guatemala to serve with Dreams & Hopes, an organization that helps keep children in school.
On this trip, you will spend time in schools helping with English and other activities. Our group will also help build a rec center. All ages are welcome.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have paused our trip to Guatemala. Please check back soon for updates.
Every year, members of the youth group take on a new mission. A quick look at the past couple of years shows them going to Los Angeles in 2015 to serve on Skid Row. 2016 took them to Guatemala to help build houses with Habitat for Humanity.
2017 kept them a little closer to home with the Idaho Mission Project, where they were able to attend to environmental issues, hunger, and social injustice.
In 2018, several youth headed to Smith River, CA to learn about power tools and lend a hand with ongoing construction projects in the community.
