In observance of National American Indian Heritage Month, we invite you to join RUMC for a special event centered around the powerful film Killers of the Flower Moon. This film delves into a tragic chapter of American history, shedding light on systemic violence and exploitation faced by Indigenous peoples.
You are welcome to watch the movie on your own or join us for an in-person viewing at RUMC on Thursday, November 7, at 5 pm. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
We will meet again on Thursday, November 14, at 6 pm for a group discussion in-person and on Zoom. This will be a space to reflect on the film's themes, discuss its relevance to justice and reconciliation, and consider how we can be in solidarity with Indigenous communities today.
We hope you'll join us in this time of learning, reflection, and solidarity.
