About: New City Church is located in the South Minneapolis neighborhood where George Floyd was murdered by a police officers. In response to Mr. Floyd's death, and the subsequent uprising that came to Minneapolis, New City is launching the Solidarity Campaign.
This campaign will send money to three strategic areas of healing for our neighborhood:
Local organizations that we have verified are doing hands-on work on the frontline, with a bias toward black-led organizations
Microloans that support individuals in the New City facing economic hardship. We will, again, prioritize black community members, as well as other people of color, queer people, undocumented people, etc.
New City Church, as we continue to expand our anti-racism programming. Over the past three years, New City's antiracism and community organizer training has informed other churches, denominations, and universities.
New City is a multiracial church that is less than three years old. We are led mostly by queer people of color. Please donate generously today.

Get used to being uncomfortable
Be aware of the burden placed on people of color when trying to unpack or understand this discomfort with them. If you're white, find other white people interested in anti-racist work to begin this discussion.
