Job Title: Nursery Caregiver
Position Type: Hourly Part-time; average 3-4 hours per week
Compensation: $15-20 per hour, depending on experience
Reports to: Children & Youth Ministry Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Nursery Caregiver will provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for infants and young toddlers (0-5 years old) on a weekly basis on Sundays, helping Redmond UMC in living out its mission to love God and neighbor by nurturing the youngest in the our community. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Arrive in the Nursery by 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. 
– Maintain accurate and complete parental/guardian sign-in sheets for all children in the nursery.
– Provide a welcoming atmosphere for children, parents, and volunteers. 
– Protect, help, and encourage each child as needed.
– Remain in the nursery at all times unless relieved by another person. 
– Maintain an orderly and sanitary environment. 
– Communicate to Supervisor or the Pastor as soon as possible in case of illness or unavoidable absence. 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience with children 5 years of age and under. 
– Person in charge must be 16 years or older. 
– Have current State Patrol criminal history (this will be paid for by Redmond UMC if hired). 
– Complete Sexual Abuse Awareness Training and Safe Sanctuary training (paid for by Redmond UMC if hired).
