Social Justice Ministries at Redmond UMC emphasizes the importance of both justice and mercy ministries. Our justice ministries work through organizing and education to transform the systems we are in. Our mercy ministries work to meet the immediate needs of those in our community.
We believe in the full inclusion of all of God’s beloved children. Redmond UMC has partnered with Reconciling Ministries Network to work for and organize towards a church that is a witness to God’s all-encompassing love.
Redmond UMC is a joyous and welcoming presence at Seattle Pride along with other local UMC churches.

Redmond UMC strives to be an anti-racist and inter-culturally competent congregation. This means that we are always learning with and from folks in our congregation and community who have been marginalized and oppressed. We are a congregation striving to build awareness around racial inequalities through our worship and our church leadership.
New City Church is located in the South Minneapolis neighborhood where George Floyd was murdered by a police officer. In response to Mr. Floyd’s death, and the subsequent uprising that came to Minneapolis, New City is launching the Solidarity Campaign. This campaign will send money to three strategic areas of healing for their neighborhood.
