Holy Week is the week leading up to Easter when we commemorate Jesus' arrival to Jerusalem, the Last Supper, and Jesus' death. At RUMC, it includes a Palm Sunday Service on April 9 at 10am as well as Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services on April 13 and 14 at 7pm.

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are not your typical services... due to the nature of what we are commemorating, the services are somber, quiet affairs. While these may not be the most uplifting services, we believe that there is much to be learned in the highs and lows of life, and we encourage you to attend these services as we continue our worship series, The Path to Life.

  • Maundy Thursday

Companions on the Journey, Part 1

    April 13, 2017 | 7pm | Luke 21:1-22:62; John 13:3-8, 12-16

Tonight, we listen to the Widow, Peter, and Judas, share their experiences of Jesus before and during the Last Supper. We worship in the chapel and share in the ritual of service and communion. We strip the altar and leave in silence.

  • Good Friday

Companions on the Journey, Part 2

    April 14, 2017 | 7pm | Luke 23: 1-56

This night we begin in silence and end in silence as we reflect on the experiences of Pilate, Herod, Simon of Cyrene and Joseph through video, prayer and song.
