We are excited to be hosting the Eastside Emergency Winter Shelter for families from October to December. Each night, we'll provide space in our Fellowship Hall and a warm meal so that the families we host can eat and rest in warmth and safety. Last year, we served 15–40 clients each night. We look forward to once again bringing together a great community of caring made up of the clients, staff from Catholic Community Services, and volunteers from RUMC and the local community.
We would love to have you help prepare or serve meals, host, or just come spend time with our guests and other volunteers!
We will host a training session at 10am on Saturday, September 9th for those who are interested in volunteering. Lunch will be provided at noon, and you are invited to stay after lunch for additional training with the CCS staff until 2pm.
Want to sign up for the training? Sign up using the form below. Have questions? Contact Laurie Biethan.
