Easter sunday

Christ is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Alleluia!

As the sun rises, so do our hearts as we praise God for the joy of Resurrection! At our Sunrise Service, we'll praise God by lifting our voices in songs, Scripture, and holy communion on the beach at Idylwood Park at 6:30am.

At 10am, we'll have our main Easter Service in our sanctuary. The service will be full of a variety of celebratory music and an Easter sermon. Pastor Lara says, "When the women arrived at the empty tomb, they encountered two angels who asked, 'Why do you look for the living among the dead?'  What a great question for us to ponder this holy day in such a time as this."

The 10am Easter Service will have our typical options for children (options for infants through 5th graders) and will also be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. No need to worry about the rainy April weather... our Education Building has lots of nooks and crannies to hide Easter surprises!

At 4pm, we will have our Community Easter Dinner... scroll down for more details!

Community Easter Dinner

Easter Sunday, April 16, Drop by from 4-6pm

Be our guest! At RUMC's Community Easter Dinner,
it is our honor to serve you.

Come as you are and enjoy a warm, lovingly-prepared and respectfully-served Easter Dinner. Our volunteers will help you find a seat and bring your dinner to the table, course by course. It is our hope that you will find community in a warm, family-style environment .

Since our first dinner, we've served anywhere from 60-200 people each year and given out Easter baskets to hundreds of kids. We continue to serve an Easter Dinner because Easter is so important to our spiritual life, and our celebration of that holiday would not be complete without the breaking of bread with our community!
