Love hanging out with good people and eating good food? Want to get involved with the community but don't know how to get started? Interested in the Bible but haven't made it past the first page? Us too. 

The Redmond United Methodist Youth group (RUMY) meets on Sunday evenings for food, games, discussion, and reflection. We also participate in service projects, outings, and retreats throughout the year. All events take place in our Youth Room (upstairs in the Education Building) unless otherwise noted.

  • Movie nights

    Sundays 5:30-8pm, july 9, 23 & August 6, 20

    Come watch a movie with us! We will have hot pizza, cool drinks, salty popcorn, and other tasty treats! Stick around after the movie for some great discussion about the movie and the lessons we can learn from it. Don’t forget to bring a friend!

  • redmond town center hangouts

    Sundays 11:30am-12:30pm, July 16, 30 & august 13

    After Sunday morning worship service, we will walk over to Redmond Town Center to play shuffleboard, grab some ice cream, and just hang out. Family members are welcome to join.

  • parent rumy

    Sunday, august 27, 6-8pm

    This is a RUMY meeting for the parents of our youth. We will take care of some logistical needs, such as filling out permission forms and going over Safe Sanctuary policies, but we are also going to party like the youth! We will have snacks, games, and tons of fun. This will also be your chance to ask your questions about the youth program. Open to all youth parents, even if your youth are not currently planning to attend RUMY events.

  • Old fire house teen center

    The city of Redmond provides many activities, events, and leadership opportunities for high schoolers at the Teen Center, which is right across the street from the church! Learn more and find an event schedule here. Middle schoolers, check out their After Hours program!

RUMY: fALL 2017

    During this time, we gather to play awesome games, eat tasty snacks, explore scripture, and have a group discussion about our faith, religion, the Bible, our spiritual gifts, or other faith-based topic. This fall, our theme is Christian denominations, and we are focusing on a different denomination each week.

    Every month, we work together on a project that helps someone else. We focus on a different project each month, and our projects are aimed at helping the community either directly or through a church event. Scroll down to the "Service Opportunities" section to see our upcoming projects.

  • Rumy on the road

    Sunday evenings just not working out for your schedule? Can't get enough of hanging out with MaryKatherine? Well, we're taking RUMY on the road! Set up some time with our Coordinator of Youth Ministry, MaryKatherine Koons, to just hang out, talk, or get homework help and meet at a nearby fast-food restaurant or coffee shop or at the library.** Or let her know when your next game, concert, or other extra-curricular event is so she can come out and cheer you on!

    **Please note that you are responsible for arranging rides to and from the agreed location to abide by our Safe Sanctuary policies.
